We are having another baby! His (or her) expected arrival date is May 13th, 2009. We are really excited and very thankful that God is willing to entrust us with his precious babies. We have loved being Peter's parents and we are really looking forward to having this next one join our family.
I had a hunch that I was pregnant around the beginning of September, so I took a test and totally surprised Sean with it one morning. He had no idea! It was funny to see how surprised and excited he was.
Peter will almost be 2 when the baby comes. He doesn't understand what babies are yet, but we've been trying to point them out when we see them and teach him how to be soft with the cat.
I felt really good/normal for the first 7 weeks. But ever since then, I've been feeling more nauseated and, well...pregnant (emotional, tired, forgetful, etc.). Lately I've felt pretty good during the day, but once the evening comes, I get really tired and sick feeling. Let me just say that I am SO thankful for modern medicine! Hopefully the nausea will subside in a couple weeks when I enter the 2nd trimester. Until then, I've been watching a LOT of movies (if anyone has any good recommendations, they would be greatly appreciated!)
Yay!!!! Congrats! I hope you get feeling better soon, that first trimester is so yucky.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for you guys! And I too hope you start feeling better soon--that is no fun.
ReplyDeleteWe have the largest movie collection of all of our friends, I think, and you're welcome to stop by and borrow something any time you'd like.
I knew it!!! I really wanted to ask you while we were standing outside of your house on Halloween! I just got that pregnant vibe from you. Congrats!!!
ReplyDeleteI heard that you were preggers and I wanted to call and talk to you about it! I just always forget! Congratulations! What does this mean for Germany? Are you guys still going to go? I am going to call you THIS VERY AFTERNOON so that we can discuss this! Congrats, again, Catherine!
ReplyDeleteYay! I am so so happy for you! I hope you feel better soon...I think nausea is one of the worsts feelings known to woman :). How do you decide when to have a second baby? I am constantly thinking about it these days...
ReplyDeleteCAT-DAWG!!!! Your going to be a Mommy again! How exciting. I have to admit, for the past three months or so, it seems like so many people I know are getting prego with #2 and I just keep thinking, "Catherine is next" and then I tell myself to mind my own business. So, I keep checking your blog and deep inside I keep thinking it will happen and BAM!!!! Yay!!! I wish I could sympathize with the nausea. Good luck with everything. Are you guys hoping for a girl this time or another boy?
ReplyDeleteCongrats! thats awesome. i agree, it does seem like a lot of people i know are having #2. hope you start feeling better and i hope this pregnancy goes well.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! You will love having them close together. My two little guys are 17 months apart and now that Ethan is mobile and Braden is older, they have so much fun together. The play with eachother all day long! I hope you feel better!
ReplyDeleteYay for Catherine! I'm so happy for you. I was wondering if maybe something like that was up when I was talking to you at Ashley's bridal shower. I'm totally excited for both of us to have another kid! WOOHOO!!!
