San Diego Zoo

Going to the zoo was at the top of my list for things I wanted to do while on my trip to San Diego, and we got to go on the last day I was there. I love taking Peter to the zoo and seeing how excited he gets about all the animals. He liked hearing the animals and trying to immitate their sounds. The monkeys were his favorite, of course. He could have stayed at the monkey cage all day and watched them playing with each other.

We stayed for about 3 hours and then my back got too sore to walk around anymore, so we didn't see everything we could have. My favorites were the baby koala perched on his mommy's back, the panda bear, the turtles, and this really really loud bird that I didn't get the name of.

The foliage there was amazing. I swear Dr. Seuss invented some of those plants and flowers, because they were so crazy! Thanks to Julie and Elise for coming with me!
