It's not like I've been too busy to write a post - I just didn't really feel like it during January/February because the weather was so drab and I wasn't doing anything very exciting. But the past couple days of warm weather and sunshine have left me feeling more motivated! So I'll try to get a few posts written before Peter wakes up from his nap.
Wednesday will mark the first day of my 29th week! Wow - I really can't believe the time has flown by so quickly. It seemed like once I got over being nauseated, this pregnancy is speeding past. I am really excited to have our new little guy come! He is super busy - always moving and kicking around in there. He's a ninja! I've been feeling really good lately (when I get enough sleep) and I'm not to the super-uncomfortable stage yet, so life is good :)

Peter has been so much fun lately! He is learning so many new words and he's becoming more coordinated, so he seems a lot more like a little boy and not a baby anymore. He's growing up so fast! *sniffle* But he's been so much fun every stage that he is in and I'm excited for all the fun things we'll be able to do together this summer after the baby is born.

We tried moving Peter into a "big-boy-bed" for a few nights, but I realized that I wasn't ready and he wasn't ready. He would wake up (or not go to sleep at all) and make a huge mess by dumping out all his drawers, taking all the toys and books off the shelves, etc. So now he is back in his crib and I feel much better about him getting the sleep he needs. Plus I don't have to clean up his room 3 times a day!

We've been playing outside a lot the past few days and it's been so nice and refreshing to get some sunshine and fresh air! I'm so glad the park is so close - Peter
loves it there. Today he learned how to climb up these bars all by himself and then climb up to the tall twisty slide. It was amazing to watch him being so brave! I was so scared that he would fall and get hurt, and alas, he did. He fell between the bars and his top teeth cut pretty deep into his bottom lip. He was fine after like 2 minutes though and seems to not even remember it! I'm glad he gets over injuries so quickly because I have a feeling that he is going to get lots of them during his life! Poor kid...
I bought a child's bike seat for the back of my bike and that has been a ton of fun to ride around with. I'm sure I look really funny riding around with a kid on the back and a big prego belly in front! I have to ride with my knees poking out to the sides so I don't smash the baby with my legs when I pedal. Peter looks really stellar in his new helmet though! Hopefully the weather will just keep getting nicer so we can use our new gear a lot before my belly gets too big.
I've been thinking about you a lot lately! I can't believe you're 29 weeks already...Did you just barely get pregnant?! We should get together soon. When is good for you?
ReplyDeleteHI!!!!!! Don't you think it's about time we are blogging "buddies"? Loved the post! Can't believe he's so big..but then I can =) Yay for 77 days to go!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you guys have had some fun :)Hope you and your family are doing well.
ReplyDeleteI love the last picture of Peter with all of his "safety gear"!! So cute! Hey, you said you wanted an invite to my blog, but you didn't leave me an email address. Let me know so I can invite you. You look great!
ReplyDeleteYou know what sounds fun, but is probably impossible? The guitar class goes for a bike ride up the canyon river trail, pulls over at a park, builds a fire, and strums by campfire.
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and I'm really excited about it! Every time I see Peter it kills me how much he looks like Sean. (This is your old friend Emily by the way)
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures! Especially the one of you and Peter on the swing =). You are such a cute pregnant lady!
