Now that summer is definitely, officially over (since last month) I am finally posting some of the things we did over the past few months.
Tonsilectomy: I was on the couch for 11 days straight, so the boys and I had lots of time to take silly pictures and watch movies. I had so many people help and take care of me, and I'm so thankful for them. The boys even did a great job listening as I tried to talk to them by whispering, and they tagged along to my ENT appointments. We celebrated the day I could eat food again by going to In-N-Out Burger. I never appreciated a cheese burger so much!
Camping: at the beginning of the summer, I was really excited about going camping a LOT, but turns out, we only went maybe twice. Sean's parents invited us to go with them in their RV up American Fork Canyon just as the beautiful fall colors were at their peak. All of the campgrounds were full, so we just had dinner up the canyon and then stayed in the RV in the Hess' Driveway. The boys still loved it, and the next day Nana made us blueberry pancakes for breakfast, and we hiked around in the huge field behind their house. It was a great one-nighter!Ultimate Frisbee: This is the second summer Sean has played Ultimate with the Orem City League. His team "The Empire Hucks Back" is doing really well! They have won 6 out of 8 games so far!
San Diego: Sean's mom invited us to stay at the family condo this year. It is right on the beach, so we had a great view. Our favorite things were: building sand castles and trying to keep them intact when the waves came, visiting Old Town, playing in the ocean, and going to Disneyland (even though it rained the whole day - no lines!)
Halloween: We dressed up as Wizard of Oz characters this year (I was Glenda the Good Witch, Sean was Scarecrow, Peter was a TIger and Jackson was a Lion - - "lions, tigers, and bears, oh my!") We invited Sean's family and my brother's family over, so it was a very exciting evening!
