Life with two little boys

Well, life has definitely changed for us over the past 8 weeks since Jackson was born! Some days I feel like I have my brain back and I can get some things done and think straight. Other days, I just lounge around in my sweats until about 2 or 3 then I finally get a shower and a nap. I have recovered really quickly and I hardly feel like I had a baby, except that I am pretty tired a lot of the time. But generally I feel pretty good!

Peter has adjusted wonderfully to big-brotherhood. He is really sweet with Jackson and he loves to help out. When Jackson sneezes, Peter says "Bless you Jackson!" It's so cute. Peter has been talking up a storm lately and he's even starting to make complete sentences! He seems a lot more grown up now that Jackson has joined us. Peter will be 2 next month!

Jackson is a great baby! He sleeps a ton and only cries when he is hungry, wet or wants a hug. I've loved having him and our family wouldn't seem complete without him. I'm amazed at how quickly and naturally he became a part of us. I was really curious as to how I would love another baby as much as I love Peter, but it just happens!

Sean is the most amazing husband of all time. He is so great at helping me and knowing when to take over so I don't go crazy. He works really hard to take care of us all and I am so grateful for him. He most definitely keeps me sane when I am feeling overwhelmed.

We've managed to have a lot of fun between the diaper changes, feeding times, midnight wakings, crying bouts, and bath times. What have we been up to? Well...

hiking at big springs

hiking squaw peak

Peter helping Jackson with his binky

Jackson practicing his smile

Peter and Jackson being silly

Nap time! My favorite!

Riding a motorcycle at the mall

Eating gelato on center street

snuggling with daddy

building a fence with Opa

Miniature golfing

and picking tasty morsels off the generous neighbor's tree.

Life is just a bowl full of cherries.

  2. I'm glad you're back! It looks like you guys have had a lot of fun so far this summer. Such a happy family! I can't imagine how busy you must be with two little boys--the thought of one baby ovewhelms me! But I'll bet you're a great mommy. I was thinking... those boys are going to be so close! I can't wait to see the mischief they get into together! hehe
