A trip to Arches

On Wednesday, I looked out the window and saw my car, my green grass, and my blossoming trees covered in snow:

On Thursday I looked out the window and saw blue skies, red rock arches, and a warm desert:

Ahh....warm weather...
We went with Sean's family on a little trip to Arches National Park and we had loads of fun! We were very comfortable thanks to Sean's parent's RV. We went to the Firey Furnace (Peter and I just played at the trail head while the rest of the fam hiked around inside for a few hours), Sand Dune Arch, and Devil's Garden. Peter was such a good little camper and hiker! And I was able to feel good enough to do a 4 mile hike to Navajo Arch and back! woot! It felt really good to actually do something besides sit around on my couch.

I'm really looking forward to this summer! Every day I think about how much fun it is going to be to take our two little guys out into the mountains and hike around. I'm so excited to be not-pregnant again so I can go hiking more often, and biking, skiing, climbing, rafting, running, etc, etc, etc. I'm really glad the timing worked out so that I can have the baby in the spring and have the rest of the summer to play!

  2. It was so fun to see you there! I'm impressed that you were able to do a big hike. I hope that I still can in five months! I'm also so excited that you'll probably have your baby soon. Tonight would be ideal so that I can drop by and see him tomorrow on my way back out of town :)
