36 weeks

Well, I've made it this far - we'll see if I can survive the next month! I've been getting pretty tired lately, but I'm more excited every day to hold our new baby and kiss his little fat cheeks. At my appointment yesterday the Dr. said he thinks the baby is about 6 lbs. right now. I'm hoping he won't be more than 8 lbs. when he's born, so we'll see how much he grows over the next few weeks. I'm guessing (hoping) that he will come a little early, but I am planning on being induced on the due date.

He's an active little guy! My stomach muscles sure take a beating when he is awake and kicking. Luckily he doesn't really kick that much at night, so I am able to sleep. One thing I think is funny is that he kicks a lot when I lay on my right side, and if I roll over to my left side, he calms right down! I am really excited to have this baby and start feeling a little more normal again. Hopefully my recovery this time will be faster than it was after Peter was born! I've heard that usually things go smoother with a second baby, but I don't want to expect too much :) I'm just excited to have a sweet little baby again and for Peter to have his little buddy finally here!

  2. You look so cute, I can't believe you're so close! And I was right there with you on the really hard recovery first time around (as in, it took me at least 6 months to be able to walk around very much without hurting), but can honestly say that with Janey it was almost like I hadn't even had a baby within a week--amazingly different. I'm really hoping you have the same experience.

Let me know if there's anything we can do for you as you get closer. :)
