We went to the Coldplay concert in SLC a couple weeks ago and it was amazing. I got us tickets for Sean's birthday (which was actually back in August) but the concert turned out to be just a couple days before my birthday, so it was a nice birthday treat for both of us.Being there with thousands of people singing along, all the cool lighting effects, the performance of the band, and hearing the music in person was such a blast. I loved watching Chris Martin skipping around on the stage - that man has amazing amounts of energy, not to mention talent.
They came into the audience (close to the back where Sean and I were) and did a couple songs right in the middle of everyone. They played a mandolin and harmonica to a couple songs I'd never heard. Then they went back on stage and had the finale which included confetti! TONS of confetti! It just kept coming and coming, and it was in the shape of butterflies! We were all going crazy and they had multi-colored laser shows and wow....it was just so awesome.
I love those guys. Their music makes me happy and it makes Peter dance like a mexican jumping-bean.
Oh, Jeff would be so jealous! Shh, don't tell him that I he's getting their new CD for Christmas (do people even LIKE CDs anymore? What with itunes and all :) ).
ReplyDeleteNo secrets here. Jeff and I really hoping to go to the Czech Republic this summer, so we're having to plan the next one around that. We might start trying again in January or February. I want to talk to you, though! You're going to be such an awesome mommy of two! Can we get together over Christmas? Lily is REALLY into kissing these days, and she needs somebody to smooch on besides Talita :)
